Description
Arabica coffee beans generally have a superior taste and a more complex flavour profile than the stronger Robusta beans. Italians often blend Arabica with a small quantity of Robusta to ensure a versatile and adaptable product. A small amount of Robusta will ensure that a better crema forms with every single espresso. Furthermore, the blend results in a relatively low caffeine content of 1.4 to 1.6 per cent. Tosteria del Corso sources the Arabica beans from Brazil, Ethiopia and Colombia. The Robusta beans come from India and Mexico. They use a classically Italian mixture of 80% Arabica beans and 20% Robusta beans.
Another indication of the quality of coffee produced by Tosteria del Corso is that the beans are artfully blended before they are roasted. Many companies blend their coffees after roasting, which can mask inferior quality beans and poor practices.
Use ground to make the perfect Italian coffee.
