Description
The Verduzzo grape is well-suited to the cool-climate hamlet around the classic zone of Ramandolo located high in the hills of north-eastern Friuli, north of Udine.
Sweet Verduzzo is not as common as dry Verduzzo however it is definitely the more interesting wine. It is a dessert wine obtained from late-harvested Verduzzo grapes that are subsequently partially air-dried. The air-drying process increases the concentration in flavour and the wine ages for up to 16 months in small barriques post-fermentation. Golden in hue, Verduzzo di Ramandolo has a beautiful density to the palate and wonderful honeyed aromas.
